First Login on a Mac
You will need to connect to the network for first login. An Ethernet connection is required on campus and preferred if you are off campus.
If you are on campus, you will not be able to connect to the TAMU_Wifi network before logging in
If you are off campus and do not have an Ethernet connection available, you will need to first connect to a non-enterprise wifi network
Most home networks and mobile hotspots will work
Start by clicking the Wifi symbol in the top right-hand corner of the screen and connect to your wifi network
If you need help turning on a hotspot from your mobile device, you can find instructions here
Once you are connected to the network, log in using your email address
Put in your password
JAMF will create a local account using this password. Put in the same password again
Click the check box and then Done to accept the Terms and Conditions
Configure the next options to your preference
Local Login on a Mac
After first login, you can log in using the local login option. This will skip the second password prompt that happens on first login.
A network connection is not required for local login, but it may not work if a local account is not already on your computer
Click the Local Login option at the bottom of the screen
Enter your NetID and password, then click Log In
If this is your first log in using the new method, you may be prompted to sign in using your email address and password to tie your local and cloud accounts together. Only sign in here if you are logged into your local account
