Run with Elevated Privileges
Through Centrify Privilege Elevation Services (PES), users may request and run software (i.e. applications, executables, batch files, etc.) with elevated privileges. Centrify Access Manager will be utilized to assign the necessary application, role, and location. In order to submit a request, please create a ticket by emailing your respective departmental support queue.
Submit a request
Email your department support queue
e.g. engr-helpdesk@tamu.edu, cven-helpdesk@tamu.edu, etc.In the body of the email, provide the following details:
User/group needing access
The machine(s) needing access
e.g. NUEN-MAD0LC1Privileges are specific to a user or group on a particular machine. You will need to specify both the user/group and the device name you are operating on.
Full, exact path name
e.g. C:\Windows\Program FilesApplication or file name
e.g. cmd.exe
Run app with elevated privileges
You must run the application through the Run with Privilege option to be able to execute the elevated privileges. You will only be able to utilize elevated privileges on requested and approved applications.
Navigate to the path of the desired application or executable file through File Explorer
Right click on the icon or file name
Select Run with Privilege…
