Remote Access to Campus Resources

Many Campus Resources can be accessed via a remote connection. Depending on which Operation system you are connecting from, the steps vary. However, all connections require the pre-requisites listed below:

Prerequisites:

To connect to an On-Campus resource you must have the following prerequisites.

  • On-Campus: You must be connected via Ethernet cable or the TAMU Wireless network “TAMU_WiFi”

  • Off-Campus: Connect to TAMU Cisco VPN. Follow one of these links based on your device (Windows, Apple (macOS), Linux)

You will also need the correct permissions to the resource you are trying to connect to. Some resources are available to everyone, some are limited to specific groups of users (research groups, Major, classification, etc.).
