Sign In to CrashPlan

Below are the instructions for how to log in to CrashPlan.

  1. Open the CrashPlan application

    1. For Windows, enter Code42 or Crashplan in the Windows search bar and open the Code42 CrashPlan application

    2. For Mac, open the Applications folder and then select the Code42 application

  2. Enter your email address NetID@tamu.edu and the server address central.crashplan.com , then click Continue

  3. CrashPlan will redirect you to a CAS login window. Log in with your credentials.

  4. If CrashPlan was active on a previous device, it will ask if you want to restore from the previous backup

    1. If you are still using the old device and want to keep CrashPlan active on it, select Add New Device

    2. If you are no longer using the old device or the operating system has been reinstalled, select Replace Existing

  5. If you choose to replace an old device, you will be shown your old files which can be moved to your new device
