Engineering Virtual Labs

About Engineering Virtual Labs

Engineering Virtual Labs, or Virtual Desktop Infrastructure (VDI), is a system that allows the College of Engineering to offer software to TAMU students, faculty, and staff all over the world. We currently offer the software through the VMWare Horizon platform, which connects your computer to high-powered servers located on the A&M campus. Because all of the software runs on the servers, you do not have to have a high-end device to run demanding applications…just an internet connection!

Any faculty member or student enrolled in engineering courses should be able to access the platform and use the software. You will be entitled to use the programs that correspond with your major department or the department of College of Engineering courses you are enrolled in.
