Installing Software with Desktop Central Self Service

Desktop Central is a versatile tool for Windows computer management. Its Self Service portal is utilized to install various software on Windows devices, allowing for users to install any application that is listed in the portal without admin privileges.

Install software applications

  1. On the bottom right hand corner of your desktop screen, click on the arrow icon

  2. Locate the Desktop Central icon which may vary in appearance for individual users

    1. Alternatively, type Self Service in the Windows search bar to launch the TAMU Engineering Self Service application

  3. Right click the Desktop Central icon and select Self Service Portal

  4. Browse through the menu and click on the Install button underneath Action to install any of the available applications

    1. Click on the --Select-- dropdown button and select Uninstall to uninstall an application
