ANSYS Installation Instructions
How to install
You must be connected to the TAMU network for this installation. This can be through either TAMU WIFI or VPN. The installation will not complete properly if the device is not on the TAMU network.
Navigate to the link below and login to Microsoft 365 with your TAMU credentials:
Engineering Software DistributionSelect your current operating system from the options available.

Select the Base folder.
Â
Three ISO files are contained within this folder, download the entire folder as shown below.

Navigate to the download location of the folder, right click the zipped folder, and
extract the file by clicking Extract All.Â
This will create a new unzipped folder of the same name containing the Base folder and the three ISO files as shown below.
Â
Right-click each of the ISO files and select Mount.
Â
This will mount a temporary disk to the next available drive letter.
Ensure that this is done for each of the ISO files.
If done correctly, you will have one temporary drive for each disk as follows:

If the ISO files do not have Mount as an option then you may need to download 7zip.
Get 7zip
Open the first mounted disk and open the Setup application.

In the installation launcher, select Install Ansys Products.
Â
Agree to the license agreement and select Next>.
Â
Leave the default options and select Next>.
Â
Insert
hprc-license.tamu.edu
in the Hostname section and select Next>.Allow access to all firewall requests if prompted.
Â
Leave Pre-selected Installation Options as default and select Next>.
Â
Leave Interface Configuration values as default and select Next>.
Â
CAD installs are automatically detected. Select Next>.
Â
Review install settings and select Next>.
Â
Wait for the Software to install and fill in the Drive Letters as shown below:
At roughly 42% installation, the installer will generate a prompt requesting the next drive.
Enter the drive letter for Disk 2 and select Ok.
Â
At roughly 64% it will generate another prompt requesting the next drive.
Enter the drive letter for Disk 3 and select Ok.

Once the installation reaches 100%, select Next>.
Â
Exit the installer and launch Ansys to verify the software is running properly.
